Fifty Studio wins Silver W3 Award
Thursday, November 6th, 2008Hot Award Presenter: “And the Silver W3 Award Winner is… Fifty Studio!”
Fifty Studio: “Boy, this is heavy…
There’s just so many people I should thank for this Silver W3 Award. First off I’d like to thank my parents, for continually forgetting Fifty Studio’s name and not really having any idea what it is that we do. It’s that kind of support that pushed me through all the hard times.
I have to thank my wife for pretending to be interested in all the sites that I show her. It can’t be easy faking it so often!
A quick shout out to some very important people: CakePHP and the dev team – you helped us bake a mean site. MAMP – you’re the tireless workhorse. My chair – for supporting me during those long nights. Photoshop and Flash – Your names may sound risque but you’re the wind beneath our wings. We can’t forget the Godfather – Sir Tim Berners-Lee.
Last, I have to thank myself for actually creating this amazing website. I couldn’t have done it without me! Thank you!”

The Story of Stuff and other cool websites
Friday, April 25th, 2008We’re starting a new feature here at the Fifty Studio blog. Website of the day. (That doesn’t mean we’ll put one up every day).
Story of Stuff with Anne Leonard
The design is simple and clean (nothing complicated), and her clever use of video and Flash animations is a mind bottling way for her to market her DVD.

Asia loves Fifty Studio?
Wednesday, March 26th, 2008We got excited lately when the analytics on our Fifty Studio site exploded to almost a 1,000 hits a day. After digging around we found that most of that new traffic is coming from China, Japan, and Korea.
Don’t take this the wrong way, but we were surprised since Asia isn’t high on our list of target markets (or future growth markets). Apparently, some ‘Cool Flash’ award sites in the Far East picked up our site and it’s been making the rounds ever since.
Some screenshots are included below for your enjoyment.
